ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

RICK DAVEY, EA, LTC

Rick has been doing taxes for over 30 years. He is an Enrolled Agent and an Oregon Licensed Tax Consultant, currently focusing on small business (corporation and/or
partnership), and individual Income tax returns. Rick works closely with tax agencies advocating for our clients on any audit or tax collection issues. He also enjoys teaching other tax professionals how to better understand tax law. In the off season Rick often travels throughout Oregon teaching at conferences and tax classes. He is active in state tax societies and associations, and is currently a chapter president for Oregon Association of Tax Consultants.

Rick earned a Business Management degree with an emphasis in accounting from Warner Pacific College and has been an HD Vest Advisor since 1998. He holds a Series 7, 63 and an insurance license. Rick’s experience in these areas help clients invest for their long term goals and pursue their risk management needs.

When he’s not working, Rick enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, such as chasing salmon, steelhead and trout along the beautiful rivers and streams of Oregon and Washington. He has been an active Scouter serving in the Boy Scouts for over 30 years as a leader. Rick loves being a proud grandpa. Currently two grandsons and two granddaughters keep him busy, “Grandpa, can I reel it in and see if there is still bait on the hook?”
